WebView2
TermLynx is compatible with EdgeHTML and WebView2. We highly recommend Windows users upgrade to WebView2 for a better experience. The difference is significant.
Why bother?
Previous versions of Microsoft Office on Windows used EdgeHTML or IE11 as browser virtualization technology. The current version of Microsoft Word on Windows uses WebView2, a superior browser based on Chromium.
WebView2 is installed through the Windows update released on October 19, 2020. Depending on your Windows Updates policies, it might be required to install WebView2 manually.
Please take note that Mac is already using WebKit with Safari for browser emulation.
Identify your add-in browser
You can open TermLynx in any document and click on the arrow on the top right.
If you are using WebView2, you will have the option to "Attach Debugger", which opens dev tools. The EdgeHTML/IE11 web views will not have the "attach debugger" option.

Windows Updates
If you are using Windows 10, WebView2 should already be installed on your PC. It's part of Windows Updates since Windows 10 version 2101 (September 2020).
You can check for that by going to the Start Menu --> Add or Remove Programs and searching for WebView2.
A quick search in "Apps & Features" will indicate the presence of WebView2.

After installing the WebView2 runtime and restarting Word, you should see the "Attach Debugger" option.
Updating Office
You will need to update your Microsoft Office version if WebView2 runtime is installed and Microsoft Word is not using it.
You will need an Office version equal to or superior to 16.0.13530.20424 to enable WebView2.
You can update Office through Microsoft Word or Windows Update.
